Access to data in the Data Warehouse is based upon user authorization from each of the University host systems. Views will be created on appropriate tables in the Data Warehouse that reflect this authorization. WEBI is a query and reporting tool designed for end users who are skilled with analysis tools like Excel, and knowledgeable of their data. WEBI allows the user to use a data pick-list to create reports and report filters.
Standard reporting typically begins with the display of a parameter page allowing the user to specify the contents of a pre-formatted report. Reports are typically designed and developed by a programmer who is skilled with SQL and the Crystal Reports tool.
